It had been a while since Aly had seen the boys of BTR, and given that fact she was on her way to the condo to make sure everything was all good with them. Sure she saw them on TV all the time and listened to their music on the radio, but as far as personal info went she was drawing a blank on how all that was going down. Pulling into the drive Alyson killed the engine of her car with a turn of the key, piling out in one swift movement she was almost running to the door when her feet hit the ground. She was ready to see some of her closest guy friends, especially James. She was never to open about the fact that he was her fave for various reasons, none that really mattered any more. Upon reaching the door she hesitated a second before knocking. But when her fist made contact with the door, it did so with perhaps a little more force then she really needed. Then again given the size of the home, perhaps force was needed to make her presence known.

  For once, in what had felt like forever, James Diamond had a day off in his life. And instead of tanning, he decided to spend all day inside. For once he viewed that he had been outside for too long. Basically he had a 'blah' day. What was a 'blah' day? Where you sit around in your pjs and do nothing. Well scratch that, watching movies and tv and playing video games all counted as something.
Upon hearing somebody knock on the door, James got up and decided that he was going to be the one answering it. Making his way to the door, James did his usual hair fix before opening the door. Once he had opened the door, he flashed whoever it was a smile. Then when he actually saw who it was, he regretted being in his pjs. 'Of course when one of my friends come over and visit, I'm in my pjs.' he thought to himself.
"Hey Aly!" he said happily. To be honest, if he hadn't have been so busy, James would have been spending more time with her. The only thing was he didn't know what their relationship was like. Yes he dated a lot of girls, everybody knew that. But they were nothing serious. "Come on in. So uh what brings you here?" he asked, holding the door open for her.

A grin crept up on Aly's face when she got an eye full of James standing there in his PJs. He can pull anything off...amazing. She was trying not to stare too long, or revert back to any of her old day dreams. She had made sure, after a lot of thought, that she would torture herself no more over James and his amazing ability to look good doing everything and wearing anything. “Hey James! I was actually just out driving round LA and thought that I should stop in and say hello since it had been way too long." Not wanting to leave him standing there with the door open too long Alyson walked in and marveled, like she did every other time the size of the condo. “Man this place gets me every time, it’s so rockin in here." Right down the the smaller decor, this place was a man cave for sure, but one she could totally dig. “So safe to say you have today off, that must be nice. Seems like all you guys to any more is work." Turning to face James once more, Alyson found herself being drawn to an old flame, one that really needed to just burn out, given all the work she had gone through to make sure she wouldn't do this once she got here to see him. “It really is good to see you." A more placid smile came about this time.

James nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah it is really nice." he said, closing the door behind her. He did love working for Gustavo, after all it was his dream to become famous. But sometimes Gustavo went crazy, working them almost everyday. So sometimes it was nice to have a day, or two, off.
"Yeah that is all we have been doing." James said to her. "We basically got off tour and now he wants us to record again. Sometimes it really feels like it never ends. But hey, I'm doing what I love, so I can't really complain."
"It's really nice seeing you again Aly." he replied back to her. "So enough about how Gustavo works me and the guys like crazy. What about you? What has been going on in the world of Aly? Anything new?" he asked her. Aly was one of his best friends, besides the guys of course. So he did feel really bad when he went off to tour and junk, not spending time with her.

Hearing the never ending work tale, it was no surprise that James didn't want to get dressed on his day off. In fact if it were her she might not have even made it out of bed, even though Aly wasn't the type to waste daylight unless she was sick. “Oh me? Well I mean the world of Aly is pretty much the same as when you last checked in, I mean I've been working more which is great. But as far as everything else goes, it's just...yeah, the same." Not really thinking about it, Alyson walked over to the couch and took a seat hoping she wasn't being rude by just making herself comfortable. Running her hand over the arm of the sofa, Aly wondered if if would be okay to casually bring up the fact that she used to have a little girl crush on him like crazy. They could share a laugh, joke about it a little and then that would be her closure, sweet and simple. “Well actually there is one thing that's changed, kind of funny really...It was a while ago but I used to have this stupid little girl crush on you and well since you didn't seem interested I kind of changed gears." It was hard to laugh so it came off as more of single, choked “ha". Now that it was in the air, the building of the “Friend Zone" could begin.

When Aly had decided to sit herself down, James made his way to the kitchen that wasn't so far away. The two could still carry on a conversation. Opening the pantry, James grabbed one glass before debating on grabbing another. "Hey do you want anything to drink?" he asked her, keeping it open while he worked on his drink.
Opening the freezer, James listened as he began to put ice inside of his glass. Listening to what she had just said, about her crush on him, James Diamond froze. She had a crush on him. And he was to freaking oblivious to notice. "Wow." he mumbled to himself as he was now Friend Zoned for the second time. The first was thanks to miss Lucy Stone. Yeah, it didn't look like he would be finding the right girl anytime soon. Oh well. All he could do now was to get up and move along.
"Really now?" James asked her. "Well sorry about that." as soon as those words left his mouth, he wanted to slap himself. Sorry? That was probably the worse thing to say at the moment.

“Umm I actually don't need anything to drink right now, thanks though." Alyson just watched as he went about getting himself a drink, not really sure if she was supposed to answer his “Really now?" question. “Oh no it's not anything you need to be sorry about, I mean you were busy all the time anyway and there are DROVES of other girls better suited for you then just plane old Aly Jane." Crossing one leg over the other for no reason other then the avoid just sitting there Alyson started to once more look around the visible part of the condo. This little talk was not going along in the fun manner that she had projected it would. Okay, just do it, put him in the friend box and be done with it. But when she looked to him again Alyson hesitated. Yupp this is going to take more work then I thought “So on that note once you get your drink come sit and tell me all about your tour, I would love to know how that went."

Closing the cabinet, James grabbed his drink and made his way back to Aly. What he had thought was going to be a good day was slowly becoming a bad day. 'Well since I', pjs I must be dreaming! he thought to himself. What better to check then by pinching oneself? Giving himself a quick pinch, he groaned a little as he saw that he was awake.
Walking over to the couch, James sat down next to Aly. After taking a drink from his glass, he set it on the coffee table. "Well it was like any other tour." he said with a shrug of the shoulder. "We first stopped in London, which was pretty cool. And we even got booked in Sweden!" he explained, leaving out the whole playing spies in London.
"Hey maybe when your album comes out, we can tour together!" he suggested. They both worked for Gustavo, so it seemed like a really good idea.

Well nothing was more significant in her battle to get over James then the moment that had just transpired. She had finally told him and he didn't react in a way that showed any kind of desire to try, which was fine with her. Somewhere out there was the guy for her and when she found him then maybe James and his future girlfriend could double date. “Hey that's great news! You guys are really getting around the world!" That statement cued up the song “World Wide" in her mind and she had to work really hard to not start singing it. “And you would really consider me worthy of touring with you? Well I'm flattered James, really. It would be so much fun to travel with you and the guys!" Suddenly Aly was buzzing with energy. To get the chance to travel the world and share her music with people outside the US had been a dream of hers for a long time. “If only Gustavo would allow it, but I know how much higher he holds his dogs then everyone else so the chances of that are slim to none." Trying to laugh it off Alyson didn't want to be a bummer. “So hey did you have any plans today? Because if not I would love to just hang out and do something. It's been a while after all."
